Spice up file name
Naming files with numbers and letters is so plain. Using Finder you can use dingbat characters for your file name using the non pupolar “Special character”.

To open the Special Character window in Finder go to Edit and select Special Characters.

The window will poped up, just look like this.

To assign the symbol/dingbat/glyphs (or..what every you called it), select a file and hit Return to rename it. Afterward double click on the symbol, it will appear on the file name.
That is how to assign funky symbol to files.
You can make some symbols added to the favorite tab by clicking the option button on the left bottom corner of the character palette’s window. And, select Add to Favorite menu.
